What This Says
Have you spotted the difference?
Answer: check the dates of the most current posts made... Smashwords says February and Draftt2Digital says...yesterday(June 23/2022).
Smashwords have not posted anything since March 1st, since the day the acquisition took effect.
This can say anything and everything.
What They Should Be Doing
Keep Things Going
It should be important to show normalcy in times of transition. It should be.
Having posts not just to keep people in the loop but to talk about everyday what-going-on with writers and the industry shows everything is just fine. Neglecting that blog makes the house feel abandoned.
Granted, it was very Mark-centric yet this is more the reason to keep it going by another inhouse staff or with uncredited posts; if it comes to that.
Where is the dated integration plan? What are authors getting right now in their inboxes telling them how things are getting along or the next thing that is coming up? And if it is business-as-usual that wants to be projected then it just has to be that; business-as-usual.
